Time Out says

Robert Melee, whose devotion to camp has been compared to John Waters's, first made a splash with videos of his mother, an alcoholic exhibitionist prone to running around the house and ranting, sometimes while naked. One can surmise that she didn't make the artist's New Jersey childhood easy. Since that breakout work, Melee has been focusing on sculptural objects and tableaux, which include elements that look like multicolored accumulations of melted candle wax. This is Melee's first show in New York since 2008.
