This 5,000-square-foot LES gallery devoted to established, midcareer contemporary artists who are underrepresented in the American market is the brainchild of a scion of Taittinger Champagne dynasty. Tattinger started his operation in 2015 after a five-year stint working in the auction business and running his own art advisory company. The space more closely resembles a big-league gallery in Chelsea that a LES start-up; presumably, bubbly (Tattinger, bien sûr) was served on opening night.
