Mel Kendrick

Kendrick titles this latest series "Jacks," and each sculpture consists of a blocky base supporting a form made of intersecting cylindrical shapes that rest on top like a toy jack. The whole is cast in alternating layers of black and white concrete that impart a striking, domino-like effect.
