Max Ernst, "Paramyths: Sculpture, 1934–1967”

A giant of 20th-century modern art, Ernst straddled the Dada and Surrealist movements, creating paintings, collages and sculptures, with the last becoming an important part of his oeuvre from the 1930s on. This show gathers prime examples in both bronze and stone made over a 40-year period between 1934 and 1967.
