Massimo Audiello opened his first gallery in the East Village in 1985, and in 1987 due to the gallery's rapid growth, moved the space to Greene street in Soho where it remained until 1991, when Audiello went to work in the theater, writing, directing and performing. In 1998, he reopened in Chelsea where he began once again to promote young emerging artists in the style that had always been his trademark.
