Martha Rosler, "Cuba, January 1981"

In early 1981, Rosler was part of a cultural tour of Cuba organized by artist Ana Mendieta and critic Lucy Lippard. The color and black-and-white photos here, focusing on ordinary people and places, document Rosler's impression of the Caribbean island nation as the Cold War was entering its final decade.
