Like many visionary architects, Lebbeus Woods (1940–2012) mostly created on paper, conjuring complex fantastical structures that combined elements of retrofuturism and postapocalypticism. He has been very influential to younger architects, and his drawings, stunning in their execution, are highly prized. This traveling retrospective, which originated at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, surveys his remarkable career and his audacious architectural sensibility.
