Lara Schnitger & My Barbarian, "The Butterfly's Evil Spell"

Sculptor Lara Schingter collaborates with the LA-based collective My Barbarian creating a response to Spanish playwright Frederico Garcia Lorca's Symbolist theater text, El Maleficio de La Mariposa. The result is a performance video and installation re-staging the scenes of the play with the artists decked out in elaborate masks and costumes that are also incorporated into the show as sculptures.
