Paying a tribute of sorts to a Madison Avenue icon, Walker employs silk-screen printing and digital design to fold, spindle and mutilate images derived from a series of ads for the Volkswagen Beetle created between the late 1950s to the late ’60s. The ads themselves featured clean modernist fonts and layouts, emphasizing white space, and sparking a creative revolution.
