KAWS

Galerie Perrotin and Mary Boone join forces to present a two-space extravaganza showcasing the work of KAWS, the former street artist and limited-edition toy designer and current art-world heavyweight. Born Brian Donnelly, KAWS is best known for his signature skull-headed character with Mickey Mouse shoes, which appears at Boone in Chelsea as a group of monumental figures carved in wood. Uptown at Perrotin, KAWS goes for a more high-cultural approach, with a series of shaped canvas paintings inspired, in part, by Frank Stella.
