Mixing process art with Minimalist abstraction, this Chicago artist offers new paintings created with a variety of materials-based techniques. For instance, he's created one group of compositions through a method called electroforming, in which canvas-shaped conductive molds were submerged in an electrolytic bath that deposited layers of copper ions on each panel, resulting in rough-textured surfaces with a distinctive metallic shimmer.
