Idris Khan, "The Devil's Wall"

This London artist known, for dense photographic superimpositions of appropriated source materials (layering, for example, every page of the Koran or the sheet music for every Beethoven Sonata), pitches some change-ups in this latest show, which includes his first venture into drawing. There's also a sculptural installation based on the stoning of the jamarat, the part of the annual hajj where pilgrims throw pebbles at three walls representing the devil.
