Located in a stylishly renovated townhouse, this space is the New York branch of the powerhouse gallery based in London and Zurich. The gallery represents well-established contemporary artists whose careers have stretched over decades—figures like Paul McCarthy and Ida Applebroog, for example—as well as younger artists like the Polish painter Jakub Julian Ziolkowski. Hauser & Wirth has also mounted imaginative historical projects—like their re-creation of Allan Kaprow's seminal early-’60s installation Yard, reinterpreted by artists William Pope L., Joshiah McElheny and Sharon Hayes.
