Celebrated rock photographer Lynn Goldsmith has been shooting stars since the ’70s, when she joined Elektra Records, and a new show opening April 17 brings together many of the truly iconic portraits she took in New York City. These New York photographs provide a perfect juxtaposition of some of the city's most famous visitors against a backdrop of the gritty, raw streets of the Concrete Jungle. Running at Soho's storied Morrison Hotel Gallery, "Streets of NYC" includes photographs of the Police in Hell's Kitchen, Van Halen in Chinatown, Laurie Anderson in Midtown and more. Get a virtual tour of the show below—and cue up the 100 best NYC songs as your sountrack, while you're about it!
