Gamaliel Rodriguez, “Uncertainty Gates”

Rodriguez’s NYC gallery debut features the Puerto Rican artist’s post-apocalyptic visions of airports, industrial parks and container ports reclaimed by nature. Rendered in ballpoint pen and acrylic on paper, these images seem both tenuous and matter-of-fact in a way that suggests an engineer sketching out a dystopian vision on the back of an envelope.
