Time Out says
Located in the basement of the eponymous florist shop, Essex Flowers was launched in 2013 as a showcase for emerging artists. The gallery is artist-run, taking it's inspiration from such similarly managed establishments in art history as Alfred Steiglitz’s legendary 291 gallery.
