Time Out says

Fredericks & Freiser was founded in March 1996 by the husband and wife team of Jessica Fredericks—formerly of Andre Emmerich, Gagosian and Team Galleries—and Andrew Freiser, who was Assistant Director of Apex Art. The gallery is located in a ground floor space designed by noted architect Andrew Ong. Previously housed in an 1860s brownstone on West 22nd Street, Fredericks & Freiser was one of the original pioneers of the Chelsea art district. Notable members of the gallery's stable include the Pop-Art pioneer John Wesley and former Lounge Lizards frontman and Jim Jamursch film star John Lurie.
