Upritchard, a New Zealand artist who calls London home, has made a name for herself with attenuated figurative sculptures with a vaguely unsettling medieval vibe. Here, she teams up with husband Martino Gamper, a furniture maker whose works offer a surreal mix of styles, materials and functionality, usually within the same piece. Upritchard’s sculpture are paired with Gamper’s tables, chairs and pedestals, and vice-versa, creating a sort of oddball designer showroom or domestic stage set.
