The New York art scene of the 1960s birthed such revolutionary innovations as video, installation and performance art. But traditional mediums like drawing were taken in similarly radical directions by the artists assembled here, including Mel Bochner, Vija Celmins, Jasper Johns, Adrian Piper and Dorothea Rockburne. The show marks the 40th Anniversary of MoMA’s “Drawing Now” survey of 1976, which introduced their work to a wider public.
