"Contemporary Slavery"

One of the dirty secrets of our global economy has been the return of slavery, as the worldwide rise in demand for goods and services has led to cutting corners and squeezing profits on the supply side. This show features the work of 14 photojournalists who have documented the phenomenon in its various manifestations—most notably, human trafficking for the international sex trade, along with the exploitation of farm and domestic workers, prisoners, immigrants, children and bonded laborers.
