“Come Closer: Art Around the Bowery, 1969–1989”

The down and out Bowery of lore—and its role as a melting-pot haven for artists and musicians—is the subject of this exhibition, which collects the work of such downtown blasts from the past as Barbara Ess, Keith Haring, John Holmstrom, Adrian Piper, Adam Purple, Dee Dee Ramone, Joey Ramone and Martin Wong, among others.
