Bernadette Corporation, "2000 Wasted Years"

Despite its sober-sounding name, Bernadette Corporation is the creation of artists John Kelsey, Antek Walczak and Bernadette van Huy, who took the idea of the shell company into the aesthetic realm in 1994. Since then, BC has produced films, books and an "underground" fashion line, all in an effort to mock/imitate/deconstruct/expose late capitalism's self-devouring blend of culture, politics and money. This show represents the first-ever retrospective of their work.
