Images of food—photographed, manipulated and transferred onto textiles—as well as parallels drawn between the stroke of the brush and the swipe of the cleaning cloth, are just a couple of the arrows in the quiver of this young Russian-born painter, whose quasi-abstracted works seem to focus on our habits of consumption.
