The title is Latin for “much in little,” and it's indeed the case that these small colorful mobiles by the master modernist punch above their weight. Exhibiting all of the hallmarks of Calder’s style, and his whimsical approach to form, the works here, dating from the 1930s to the 1960s, were often made from the leftover scraps from his larger projects. They include a stunning, miniaturized marvel measuring one inch high.
