Time Out says

Campers here might not even realize they’re learning about gravity and physics as they tackle a ropes course or zoom down a zip line, but in fact, they discover the STEM-based principles behind a number of everyday activities throughout the summer. With a curriculum developed by the New York Academy of Sciences, Camp Yomi hosts professional scientists who lead hands-on educational activities (cooking, climbing a rock wall or planting tomatoes) all summer long and even partners with city museums like the Liberty Science Center for even more scientific fun. City kids get a rare taste of the great outdoors at the scenic Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds in Rockland County, whose 50-acre grounds are home to multiple sports fields, three swimming pools, art studios, an open-air amphitheater, an archery range and a vegetable garden. Kids can also look forward to day trips to sporting events and amusement parks and an overnight camping excursion to the Poconos, plus plenty of freedom in choosing their activities. Ages 10–11.
