Tubby the Tuba Narrated by Patti Smith

Paul Tripp and George Kleinsinger's 1945 musical narrative has over the years been brought to life by such celebrated voices as Danny Kaye, Dick Van Dyke and Meredith Vieira. Today, influential singer-songwriter and National Book Award-winner Patti Smith narrates the story, one of her childhood favorites, about a tuba who journeys to find a song of his own. (Smith writes about meeting Kleinsinger and seeing his original score in her 2010 memoir Just Kids.)
