In honor of Poem In Your Pocket Day, Poets House staff and volunteers will spend the day handing out pocket-sized poems written by budding young writers in local elementary schools. The poems are all inspired by NYC landmarks to recognize the upcoming 50th anniversary of the NYC Landmarks Preservation Law. Armed with the special poems, bards young and old can share the fun and love of lyric verse on this special occasion. Stick around to enjoy a neighborhood poetry read-in as well, hosted by renowned Poets Laureate Tina Chang (of Brooklyn) and Paolo Javier (of Queens). All ages.
