Do you have what it takes to brave the great outdoors? Join environmental educator Carl Heitmuller from the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum to learn fun and surprising survival tips like how to find clean water in the wild, build a debris field (shelter made from sticks), pack a survival kit using regular household items like ChapStick and duct tape in new ways and make a fire, even in the dead of winter. Once the learning wraps up outside, parents and kids can sip hot chocolate by an indoor fire. Meet in the Ecology Building. Reservations recommended. Ages 10 and up.
