Mohawk

With its spacious facilities (including a whopping eight heated pools, 23 athletic fields and an outdoor skating rink), Camp Mohawk offers a slew of traditional camp sports like lacrosse, swimming, tennis and golf along with more unique activities like circus arts. Scheduling flexibility increases with age, with 4th graders able to design half their day around electives in puppetry, fencing, spy academy, dog training, computer animation, guitar lessons and more. Camp runs June 26–Aug 16, Mon–Fri 9am–4pm or 9am–2pm. Seven-week session $8,230 (full day) or $6,330 (half day); partial sessions available. Tuition includes hot lunch, snacks and towel service. Round-trip door-to-door transportation for full-time campers with Manhattan residences is an additional $220. Call for information about transportation from other boroughs. Special "Pre-Camp" runs June 10–21, Mon–Fri 9am-3pm or 9am-1pm. Two-week session $1,050 (full day) or $950 (half day). Ages 3 to 13.
