Why is New York City a great place for kids?
Eric: There are so many options like museums, lots of restaurants and stores, new places and experiences. There’s always something to do.
Mia: Yes, there’s always something to do and the best part is that you can walk everywhere, take the subway underground and even take the ferry. The ferry is a boat that can take you to the beach or downtown.
What is your favorite playground in New York City?
Eric: My favorite playground is the Billy Johnson Playground in Central Park. The stone slide is amazing because you can go really fast. Besides, there’s no other slide like that in the city, I think.
Mia: My favorite playground is Carl Schurz; I get to see all my friends there.
What is your favorite New York City food?
Eric: My favorite thing to eat in New York City is pizza from Salvos—yum! The sauce is the best. [And also] milkshakes from Shake Shack.
Mia: My favorite thing to eat in New York City is ice cream from the truck in front of the Met because it’s so good!
What is your favorite book or movie about New York City?
Eric: That is tough because I love Home Alone 2 and Spider-Man.
Mia: My favorite book is This is New York because I got it at my favorite toy store, FAO Schwarz. It's about New York City, which is my favorite city because I was born here.
What is your favorite time of year in New York City?
Eric: Halloween! I love to go trick or treating in the city. The buildings and house are decorated and everything is so scary.
Mia: I like Christmas because everything has decorations and ornaments and it looks so beautiful. Christmas trees are everywhere and it smells good.
What are you looking forward to doing in New York City in 2021?
Eric: I am looking forward to going places like the museums or other indoor places like laser tag, movies, bowling or going to the arcade in Chelsea Piers.
Mia: I am looking forward to going to shows and also can’t wait for the JoJo Siwa concert that was cancelled this year.

Why is New York City a great place for kids?
For many playgrounds, water parks, interesting buildings and street art.
What is your favorite playground in New York City?
Domino Park in Brooklyn; my favorite parts are the climbing nets and the tall slide.
What is your favorite New York City food?
Hot dogs and French toast.
What is your favorite book or movie about New York City?
Eloise and The Secret Lives of Pets.
What is your favorite time of year in New York City?
Christmas for its decorations, music and shows.
What are you looking forward to doing in New York City in 2021?
I'm looking forward to going to the theater, ice skating and LEGOLand in the summer.

Why is New York City a great place for kids?
It's full of parks, museums and fun events. I love looking for Sing For Hope pianos in springtime. It’s like a scavenger hunt.
What is your favorite playground in New York City?
Bryant Park because the carousel has a cat that I can ride on. I love cats!

What is your favorite time of year in New York City?
I like every season in New York City. Spring brings pretty cherry blossoms in Roosevelt Island. In the summer, I like to dip my toes in the Washington Square Fountain. In the fall I like to go to Central Park and in winter I like Christmas lights and ice skating at Rockefeller Center.
What are you looking forward to doing in New York City in 2021?
I really hope that next year we can go back to school and to Lincoln Center to see The Nutcracker.

Because you can make a lot of friends at the park and take the trains anywhere!

The playground at my school it has a super fast twisty slide!

Vanilla Ice cream with rainbow sprinkles from the ice cream truck because it's so yummy!

I like Home Alone 2: Lost in New York! I wish I could visit that toy store one day!

Madelyn: Because it’s a place where no creepy things live and because we get to have fun!
