Martin Luther King Jr. Day, for kids in NYC, means celebrating one of the greatest civil rights leaders our country has ever encountered.
Through crafts, story times and performances, MLK's memory is kept alive, and little ones learn about his important messages on peace and equality. The Museum of the City of New York invites patrons on MLK Day (11am–2pm) to visit the "Activist New York" exhibit. Using it as inspiration, museum-goers will then create a protest sign related to a cause that speaks to them. Free with museum admission. Learn more here.
