Northern Blvd from Jayson Ave to 245th St, Douglaston, Queens. Subway: 7 to Flushing–Main St, then take the N20/N21 bus to Northern Blvd–Jayson Ave. Honor fallen members of the United States Armed Forces at the largest of the city’s Memorial Day parades. Kids can wave handheld Old Glory and cheer on local members of the military, veterans, marching bands, Brownie troops and Boy Scouts as they march westward along Northern Boulevard in Queens from Great Neck to Douglaston. The parade is followed by a wreath-laying ceremony at the Veterans Monument in the courtyard of the St. Anastasia Church (45-14 245th St at Northern Blvd, Douglaston, Queens). All ages.
