If the little ones are anxious to craft, look no further than Home Depot kids workshops. Your Bob the Builders are bound to pick up a slew of handy DIY skills at these offerings.
The next time you're perusing the store (or online store) for a new light fixture or tile backslplash, don't miss the opportunity to take advantage of these art classes for kids.
Here's what you need to know:
The year-round offerings take place on the first Saturday of the month, typically from 9am–noon at locations across the city. You can find your nearest Home Depot location online. Kiddos will learn basic skills (think hammering, gluing, etc) all while putting together a unique project. The lively environment also enforces the necessary safety steps to ensure all sessions go seemlessly.
How to register:
Simply head to homedepot.com, select your nearest store and voila! You can register online!
The perks:
While most things to do with kids in NYC come with a pricetag, these workshops are free! Who doesn't love a good freebie?! Plus, kiddos will get to take home their masterpiece, a certificate of achievement, an orange workshop apron and a commemorative pin (while supplies last). Neat!
