Over at the Prospect Park Zoo the sheep are being sheared for spring-time, but what to do with all that wool? That's where your family can help at the neighborhing Leffert Historic House. Learn how to wash, card and spin the raw fiber into thread, watch an expert in the trade, and collect the freshly sheared fleece from the zoo. You can even leave the afternoon with your own ball made of wool fiber that might just bounce. All ages.
Children with ASD may come from 11am–12pm for a version of the event with additional sensory-based activities. Advanced registratration required. RSVP here.
