Staten Island's Freshkills Park welcomes visitors twice this sumer to discover the trails, hills, and waterways of its landfill-to-park project. Kayak Staten Island will offer a free kayaking program from 11am-3pm in the Fresh Kill and Main Creek waterways. If paddling isn't for you and your little one, grab a bike to explore the trails, join NYC Audubon for a creekside nature hike, or hop on the shuttle bus to a scenic overlook. Bring cameras, picnics, and hiking gear and make the most of these two days of adventure at the park. All ages.
