Time Out says

The National Down Syndrome Society hosts the annual Buddy Walk, in which individuals with Down Syndrome and their allies raise funds through a non-competitive one-mile stroll through Central Park. The morning kicks off with a set by Meg’s Melodies, followed by stretching exercises and an opening ceremony. Stick around after the race for a performance by Songs for Seeds and a dance party with DJ Amber Valentine, as well as golf classes, carnival fare and a Kids’ Zone with parachute play, jewelry making, games and hula-hooping all afternoon long. All ages.
