On Sunday, July 14, throw on your barrets and grab a baguette to snack on for a Bastille Day Celebration presented by FIAF and Côte d'Azur. This festive fête features an afternoon of French food, wine, culture and entertainment at E 60th Street between Fifth and Lexington Aves from noon–5pm. This day, just ten days after our own nation's independence day, commemorates the storming of the French prison, the Bastille and the dawn of the modern French nation. The event, which spans three city blocks, spotlights many French-themed activities, including a prize drawing at 5 pm for a luxury escape to Cannes for two lucky winners! There is also a Kid's Corner filled with fun things for your little francophiles to do. The street celebration is free to all, and the tastings and film screening at FIAF require tickets.
