Artist Tijay Mohammed (who is featured in Wave Hill's current winter workspace) is inspired by the word "ubuntu," which means humanity toward others in Nguni-Bantu. He channels his vision into creating pieces that focus on his roots and migrations, and now he is helping kiddos work on their own vision. Little artists will take a page from his book and create portraits to their loved ones using a variety of media. Admission to the grounds is free until noon. Ages 3 and up.
