Coney Island Back to School Community Fair

Autumn is bittersweet for kiddos. While they're excited for new friends and experiences at school, it also means that summer's in the rearview mirror. Ease youngsters into this busy time of year with a little bit of fun at the annual Coney Island Back to School Community Fair. You and your family can celebrate with a wide variety of activities, including face painting, free games, performances, live music and so much more. Added bonus? Little attendees—who are accompanied by an adult—are entitled to receive free backpacks and school supplies while items last. Health screenings and community info will also be available at this event. There's no better place to spend your free time than Coney Island, so grab the whole family and make your way to one of Brooklyn's favorite neighborhoods. The fair will take place on Mermaid Ave between W 15–W20th Sts. Suggested for elementary and middle school students.
