Kids do the voting at these Academy Awards of children's literature. This year features Newbery Medalwinner Kate DiCamillo as host and presenters Holly Black, author of The Spiderwick Chronicles, Nick Bruel who created the Bad Kitty series, Lauren Myracle of the Internet Girls series, and more. A dinner reception at 6 will be followed by the awards ceremony from 7 to 8. All proceeds will benefit Every Child a Reader, a literacy organization that promotes the importance of a love of reading among children. Ages 8 and up.
Adult tickets are $300; children 18 and under are $50
