Butterfly Safari

Why go all the way to Africa for a safari when you can have one in your own backyard (almost)? The Urban Park Rangers on Staten Island use field guides and nets to teach youngsters how to capture, study and release butterflies—without harming them, of course. Ages 5 to 12.
