Time Out says

The Brooklyn Public Library is holding a kick-off party for their summer reading program. The library encourages kids to continue reading after school ends for the summer. This event will include face painting, balloons, a reading by Carmelo the Science Fellow, a dinosaur themed musical puppet show and performances by Shine and the Moonbeams, The Noel Pointer Foundation Youth Orchestra, and Hip Pickles Drum Band. Ages 6 to 10.
