Time Out says

This annual literature fest brings 300 authors of all genres to 14 stages in MetroTech Commons. Families can catch readings and interactive events with authors like Joyce Carol Oates, Margaret Atwood, Salman Rushdie and many more. Don't miss Children's Day (Sep 17, 10am–4pm, ages 2 to 11), where kids can participate in bookmaking and writing workshops and create art projects alongside their favorite authors. You'll see costume/author appearances from the likes of Adam Gidwitz, Gordon Korman, Andrea Davis Pinkney, Peter Brown and many more! Keep an eye out for the festival’s “Bookend” events too, popping up in parks and bookstores all over the borough from September 12 to 18, including events with authors Ann Patchett and R.L. Stine. Ages 2 and up.
