Time Out says

Workshops, readings and author appearances are all on tap for children at this Cobble Hill indie bookshop. Artist-illustrator Ericco teaches kids how to make sock pockets out of socks, buttons and glitter (Nov 23 at 2pm; note that hot glue is used, so kids must be accompanied by parents), then invites them to put on a mini puppet show; author Lynn Taylor Gordon presents her book Gracie's Night (Nov 24 at 2pm), a tale based on her family's practice of donating to those in need instead of giving and receiving Hanukkah gifts; author-illustrator Lauren Castillo reads from City Cat (Nov 24 at 7pm, an adorable history-cum-geography primer led by a cat who's hidden on each page; and author Maryann MacDonald reads from and signs her book The Christmas Cat (Dec 7 at 11am), inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's drawings of La Madonna del Gatto. Finally, Brooklyn-based artist Naoko Stoop drops by to introduce fans to Red Knit Cap Girl to the Rescue (Dec 8 at 11am), her follow-up to the adorable Red Knit Cap Girl. Ages 3 to 10.
