"Architecture of Independence - African Modernism"

Explore photos, newspaper clippings and videos of innovative buildings located in Ghana, Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire, Kenya and Zambia in this exhibition at the Center for Architecture. Kids will learn how these structures expressed the countries' optimism in the wake of their liberation from colonial powers, and be inspired to create modernist masterpieces of their own. All ages.
