Time Out says

Wave Hill hosts a series of events to celebrate this nature holiday. Through fun activities, families can learn all about the trees that call Wavill Hill home like the Bigleaf Magnolia, Japanese Maple, Bald Cypress, Red Oak and many other towering species. Stop by Trees HQ (Sat, 11am-3pm; all ages) to try to "stump the educators" with your questions or head on the educator-lead family walk (Sat and Sun at 1pm; ages 6 and older) to get some exercise as you feed your brain with tree facts. Little nature adventurists can check out the Junior Arborist Station (Sat, 11am-3pm; ages 5 and older), where they'll be invited to put on a harness and ascend to the top of an old Cherry tree to get a bird-eye view. For some more crafty fun, the Family Art Project: Tree Ring Mandalas (Sat and Sun, 10am-1pm; all ages) invites visitors to think about the history found in tree rings and to create your own tree ring-inspired personal mandala. All ages.
