The Order of Blattaria

The New York International Fringe Festival is best known for offbeat, but a trio of entries—dubbed FringeJR—are specifically aimed at kids. Michael Wulffhart's six-person, interactive show uses theatrical magic—including black light puppetry—to teach youngsters how to survive in the wild. Among the highlights are edible crickets and beetle larvae, in flavors like bacon-and-cheese. Ages 8 to 12.
