The Hard Nut

This modern take on Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker sets the holiday tale in the 1970s. Go-go boots, G.I. Joe soldiers and Barbie dolls, and a lively set design by Adrianne Lobel will likely engage tweens already familiar with traditional staging. The production is performed by the Mark Morris Dance Group, with vocals from the Brooklyn Youth Chorus as an added treat. Ages 5 and up.
