The Gruffalo

London's Tall Stories theater company adapts Julia Donaldson’s award-winning picture book of the same name into a whimsical musical. When the lead character, a mouse with tons of bravado, meets a sly fox, an eccentric owl and a snake (complete with maracas!) in a dark wood, he concocts a frightening tale to avoid becoming dinner. The make-believe Gruffalo with his terrible tusks, claws, teeth and jaws may scare off the band of predators, but young theater buffs have nothing to fear—the show is a raucous good time with energetic performances and immersive sets. Ages 3–7.
