Cirque du Soleil: Amaluna

The famed circus troupe takes up a month-long residency at Citi Field this spring to present Amaluna. Set on a mythical, women-only isle, the show explores themes of femininity, womanhood and mysticism (ama means "mother" in some languages, while luna refers to the moon, a symbol associated with femininity). When the goddess queen Prospera's daughter falls in love with a male warrior who lands ashore, the balance of the woman-only civilization is disrupted. Ages 7 and up.
